Building on its success since 2020, the event is now anchored in the summer period: "Place aux terrasses" returns from this Friday, June 2, 2023 in the evening, and until Saturday, September 30, in connection with the Union Cherbourg Commerces (UCC). Traders have the opportunity to extend their terraces and locals and tourists will take advantage of sunny days to meet for moments of conviviality. Establishments located in the streets concerned and wishing to benefit from this extension are invited to contact the "rights of space and parking" service of the City of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin for agreement. Parking and traffic The circulation and parking of all vehicles (except police, rescue, municipal intervention vehicles and the Cotentin Agglomeration Community) will therefore be prohibited on Fridays and Saturdays from 6 p.m. for parking and 7 p.m. traffic and until 2 a.m.: Place Centrale, rue Boël-Meslin and rue Grande-Rue. Pedestrian passage and safety will be maintained and a barrier will be put in place. Vehicles in violation may be removed and impounded at the risk and expense of the offenders.
